To fully satisfy our client’s needs in the enterprise project and portfolio management arena, Premier have developed Project Server enhancement products that integrate and work seamlessly with Microsoft Project Server. These tools enable us to meet your precise needs.

Open Project PWA - With Project Server if you have a large number of projects it can be difficult to locate projects quickly and easily through Project Centre or in the Project Workspace list. Quick Open Project PWA allows you to quickly locate a project that is open and allocated to a specific owner. This web based tool uses Reporting Services so can be easily adapted to use other parameters such as custom fields.

Open Project Professional - Often if you have a large number of projects on Project Server it can be difficult to find the project you want quickly. This utility allows a user to locate and open a project when using Project Professional. A toolbar button causes the utility to open a small drop down Project selector. Alternatively you can enter a project name which populates the drop down box with the project you require.

WBS Designer - Often it is useful to be able to design a project on the fly by associating tasks in a hierarchial structure. For example many projects use phases to identify key stages of activity. One way to model these phases and the tasks associated with each is to create a Work Breakdown Structure. This enables rapid brainstorming to work out all the key work stages and the sub tasks required. Premier have built a model in Visio that uses a template and special stencils to allow the Work Break Down structure to be drawn and then ‘downloaded’ to Project Server. The system can create the project and all the tasks defined in the WBS using Project Professional the user can then make the necessary modifications. Standard templates can be created of WBS models that are standard to any company, so taking some of the work out of the brainstorming activity. The stencils can therefore allow standard resources or cost structures to be defined within the templates.

Auto Project Number generator - Often companies use a standard project numbering system to identify projects uniquely. How do you ensure you are using a unique number for your project. Premier has developed a project number system that allows new projects to be automatically allocated the next number in a sequence. The system allows additional fixed format prefixes or suffixes to be used.
